I do.....

Habits.. Traditions.. you get so used to the way things “have been done so far”.. that you delude yourself into believing that these expressions are beautiful, pure and heart-felt.. Why is a tradition that doesn’t belong in the present world, the only way I can convey my acceptance? How can (the supposed) happiest day of my life make me so resentful? How can there be joy or peace in bequeath? If it is simply a way of doing things.. if it doesn’t mean anything anymore.. why cant it be changed?

Stupid, helpless and insignificant in a whirlpool of aspirations from different time periods.. What happened to … "Its all about what you want"??

New day.. New people.. New feelings.. Replenished vigor.. Same old jealousy.. Damn.. I’m back baby!!

Reactions galore

This might be considered a blatant advertisement but hey.. its for a good cause..

One of my friends has a blog.. (here's the link).. one of those covering various serious issues esp. related to India. Many blogs are definitely worth a read..

So after reading those blogs, I was considering how some people I know would react to them..

Subodh wud say sumthin like " Is having the aptitude for ignorance a weakness or a reprieve? (one of his (supposed) deep, philosophical, profound statements which will help understand the world better and hence help improve it..) "

Swats wud say sumthin like "hmm(thoughtful, serious and lost at the same time)…. Its true.. Thr is so much we dont knw di.. "

Pooja wud say sumthin like "hmmmmmm…(thoughtful and then slowly losing track…uninterested to a certain extent..she's already thinking about something else while u go on abt the serious issues we need to help solve .. And finally end it with an observation followed by a non-commital statement)… I don’t have an opinion abt this bcoz I don’t knw enuf to have an opinion"

Vij wud say sumthin like "ya its true…its quite sad (and give some example of how thr is so much wrong-doing on this earth.. For eg. How people mistreat animals and how badly she wants to join one of the PETA,etc organizations and yeah..thts tht.. )"

Ahil wud start a heated discussion about the topic (considering he is quite knowledgeable about all topics..like he calls himself.. Jack of all trades.. Master of ONE :) ) which wud eventually lead to no substantial end-result... (there is always someone who disagrees with his strong views though he believes himself to have successfully convinced the "opposition" and won the argument)

Shireen wud listen and eventually change to topic to something more fun to help bring down the blood pressure..

I wud listen.. Take it very seriosuly.. Probably simply nod my head when someone wud be talking about it… Think about it for varying periods of time.. Depending on the intensity with which it affects me.. Ranging from 2 mins to a day or 2.. And then get back to cribbing about more important (& selfish) everyday tribulations… :D

Please note - these observations are not necessarily valid as reactions for all incidents. It could be "one" of the many responses I get from the multi-faceted people around me. There are a number of (other) people's reactions I could not decide upon. This was NOT meant to ridicule anyone's opinions (or not). Considering my current (hectic) workload, I thought I could entertain myself a little. I guess one could simply react the way they have done so far…read and forget.. :)

Absurd, absolute doting when u least want/expect it… for the silliest of reasons… crazy, on the verge of obsessive, intrusive (with justifications of the most ridiculous sort), demanding (because thts how it is done…so do it), tabulated, sentimental, pull-ur-hair-off-ur-head (arrrrghh), heart-melting yet irritating love……

thts my family’s family for u…. oh and thts only the nice stuff…

PS: anyone who comments anything melodramatic abt families or relationships or anything to tht effect will find themselves in mortal danger…
